Public Speaking

AUDIENCES:

I’ve spoken at a variety of diverse venues across the country, such as universities, hospitals, churches, and trade organizations. These include Harvard University, Virginia Tech, Washington and Lee University, the American Benedictine Academy, Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE), Trinity Wall Street, and the New York Library Association.

Whether I’m speaking to healthcare professionals, spiritual communities, or general audiences, I aim to help people face fear with courage, connect across divides, and engage their lives with greater empathy and intention.

TOPICS:

I speak about the emotional and spiritual dimensions of caregiving, grief, healing, and human connection. My work as a hospice chaplain taught me how people make meaning at the end of life — and those lessons have shaped how I live, write, and help others do the same.

In my talks and workshops, I explore topics like end-of-life communication, the role of spiritual care in healthcare, supporting caregivers and frontline workers, and the emotional work of parenting and personal growth.
